Non-pharmacological interventions for sleepiness at work and sleep disturbances caused by shift work

We proudly present our latest publication, the review by Thomas Erren and collueages, titled: Person-directed, non-pharmacological interventions for sleepiness at work and sleep disturbances caused by shift work.

Shift work is a common feature of the lives of millions of workers worldwide. Shiftwork often results in feeling sleepy at work, which leads to an increased risk of errors and accidents. Also when shiftworkers go home to sleep many experience problems in falling asleep or in staying asleep. This review evaluates the evidence on the effectiveness of common interventions to combat these problems, namely bright lights, napping, and exercise.
