Cochrane is an international, non-profit organization that aims to help people make well-informed decisions about health care by preparing, maintaining and promoting reviews on the effects of health care treatments.
Cochrane Work is one of the review groups of Cochrane. Cochrane Work is also now part of the newly established Thematic Group on Work, Health and Social Security, together with the Cochrane Insurance Medicine Field.
The focus of Cochrane Work is to support the production of reliable, up-to-date reviews of occupational health interventions in four areas:
- Exposure, risks and dangers at the workplace.
- Prevention of occupational and work-related diseases.
- Improving work participation.
- Health promotion at the workplace.
